The company will be looking to develop and industrialise 1MW modular systems in both containerised and “open design” solutions.
The site, located near Muscat International Airport, can produce up to 130kg of green hydrogen per day to support the deployment of 15 hydrogen-powered taxis from the state-owned transport agency Mwasalat.

A 2GW offshore wind farm and a 50MW floating solar farm off the Dutch coast will power 1GW of hydrogen production for Vattenfall and CIP’s joint venture project.
Construction is expected to be completed this spring before installation and commissioning.
Investor Extantia stated, “This innovative technology promises a LCOH of < $1/kg with an energy requirement below 3 kWh/kg.”
The UK-based firm will deliver components that will reportedly be used for a fuel cell vehicle powertrain in Germany.
“The conversion of hydrogen into electricity is not yet being given the necessary priority in Europe, and especially in Germany,” the company said.
The French electrolyser maker is exploring solutions to “extend its cash horizon and support its operational requirements.”
