Lucideon achieves 100% hydrogen firing for ceramic productuction

Lucideon has reportedly completed 100% hydrogen firing at the AMRICC Centre in Staffordshire, the UK.

The materials technology, processing and testing firm worked with Creavit Türkiye on the project, which saw them fire sanitaryware solely by hydrogen for over 13 hours at 1,200°C.

Lucideon’s breakthrough could allow for energy-intensive industries, such as bricks, roof tiles, tableware and sanitary ware, to utilise hydrogen as part of respective energy strategies.
