Zero-emission aviation innovator, ZeroAvia announced it had signed an agreement with PowerCell, that will see the development and delivery of at least 5,000 aviation-optimised proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell stacks.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), revealed on Monday (July 18) seeks to deliver the fuel cell stack between 2024 and 2028, with a final agreement expected to be reach in the third quarter of 2022.
Under the agreement, the partners will work together on modifying PowerCell’s existing stacks for optimal performance within ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric aviation powertrains.
