ZeroAvia and Edmonton International Airport (EIA) in Canada have today (July 21) announced a collaboration to bring hydrogen-electric flight to the country.
Under the agreement, EIA and ZeroAvia will work together to develop hydrogen infrastructure at both Villeneuve Airport and the main airport, with hopes of exploring the use of hydrogen to decarbonise aircraft operations and the wider airport ecosystem.
Leveraging on ZeroAvia’s experience in operating and developing its Hydrogen Airport Refuelling Ecosystem (HARE), the partners will begin with gaseous hydrogen as a fuel, while also exploring a shift to liquid hydrogen for larger aircraft.
