Yara has committed to offtake 100% of the green hydrogen-based fertilisers produced by ATOME’s 145MW project in Paraguay.
Under a Heads of Terms agreement, Yara will receive the long-term supply of the 264,000 tonnes per year of calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) produced ATOME’s project in Villeta from 2027.
CAN received from the project will form part of Yara’s new portfolio ‘Yara Climate Choice’ which includes renewable energy and carbon capture and storage (CCS)-based fertilisers.
