‘World’s first’ liquid hydrogen-powered ship awarded Ship of the Year

LMG Marin’s liquid hydrogen-powered ship, which the company says is a world’s first, has been awarded Ship of the Year by Skipsrevyen.

Dubbed Hydra, the ship features an 80 cubic meter hydrogen tank that allows 24/7 sailing for up to three weeks between Hjelmeland, Nesvik and Skipavik.

The ship’s passenger lounge layout meets related to hydrogen use and storage safety rules.
