World Energy GH2 on Thursday (June 1) announced it had successfully closed the acquisition of a Canadian port to support its CAD$17bn ($12.6bn) green hydrogen project in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The company says the acquisition of the Port of Stephenville comes as an important step toward the shipping of green hydrogen and ammonia to global markets.
Under contract with World Energy GH2, Horizon Maritime Services will assume management of the port and existing employees will continue in their current roles.
