Wood will carry out the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase for Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ (CIP) hydrogen project in the Netherlands.
Zeevonk, the joint venture between the two companies, will see 2GW of offshore wind capacity and a 50MWp floating offshore wind farm to power a large-scale electrolyser. The onshore electrolyser will be located in the Maasvlakte section of the Port of Rotterdam.
UK-based Wood will conduct FEED work for the hydrogen facility over the next ten months and provide detailed cost estimates for the upcoming equipment, procurement and construction (EPC) process in Q2.
