To see more women in executive and board roles in the future, Dr. Laura Nelson, Executive Director of the Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC), believes we must create those pathways today, through education, outreach, programming, mentorship and other means.
This International Women’s Day, Nelson wants to emphasize that every challenge is an opportunity; we can choose to have challenges unite us, not divide us. H2 View caught up with her to find out more as part of our exclusive Women in Hydrogen series.
Thanks for giving H2 View your time Laura. You’re currently the Executive Director of the Green Hydrogen Coalition, why don’t you tell us a little about that?
As an economist, I have been a long-time champion for effective market design to realise energy innovation and create a clean energy economy for everyone. I was excited to join the Green Hydrogen Coalition (GHC) in March of 2020 because GHC is the only organisation out there dedicated to accelerating green hydrogen commercialisation at scale. The GHC understands we need real projects and green hydrogen buyers to kickstart the market in the United States and beyond.
