Charlotte Hussy, Advisor at German development agency Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), regularly speaks at hydrogen conferences around the world. It was through this participation she began to realise that most of the people on the stage were almost exclusively men.
Knowing there are women with equally relevant voices and expertise, this sparked Hussy to launch an expert database which aims to increase the visibility of women working on green hydrogen. Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) was officially launched in November 2020 and in just four months it already has more than 900 members!
This International Women’s Day, Hussy wants to #ChooseToChallenge conference organisers on inequality in hydrogen conferences. H2 View caught up with her to find out more as part of our exclusive Women in Hydrogen series.
Thanks for giving H2 View your time Charlotte. You recently founded the Women in Green Hydrogen initiative, why don’t you tell us a little about that?
