In the next interview for H2 View’s women in hydrogen series, in partnership with Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH), we hear from NEOM Green Hydrogen Company’s Chief Legal Officer, Ana Munoz.
Thank you for taking the time to speak with H2 View. Can you tell readers about your current role and history in the hydrogen sector?
I am the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), which is building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. This is an exciting opportunity for me because it marks my own transition into renewable energy. I’ve spent almost half of my 24-year legal career in the Middle East predominantly advising on large, complex infrastructure projects, most recently in the oil and gas industry. Before joining NGHC, I was project counsel for Qatar’s multi-billion-dollar North Field Expansion Project.
NGHC has had a significant few years! This year, the company completed a $8.4bn close on the world’s “largest” green hydrogen production facility. How big a moment was this for the company?
