A new expert database aiming to increase the visibility of women working on green hydrogen has been launched today by Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH).
WiGH said it has found the emerging green hydrogen sector to be dominated by men when it comes to public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
Dr. Kathrin Goldammer, Managing Director of Reiner Lemoine Institute and a member of WiGH’s founding team, looked at 13 hydrogen conferences in October and November (2020) and found that only 39 featured names were female, including moderators, out of 210 speakers in total.
Believing that diversity is essential for a sector that thrives on innovation and new ideas, WiGH aims to promote participation in conferences, expert talks and media appearances, to shape a more “diverse and inclusive discourse” in the green hydrogen world.
