The feasibility of a renewable hydrogen export supply chain between Western Australia and the Port of Rotterdam is being explored under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked today (Nov 30).
A landmark moment for Australia’s export market, the deal will also see the duo collaborate on opportunities relating to policy, regulation and technology developments as they aim to serve the European hydrogen market.
Europe’s largest seaport, the Port of Rotterdam is currently working to set itself up as a major hydrogen import hub for Europe.
