Chinese-based company Weichai Power has launched a stationary power solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system based on Ceres Power technology.
Ceres, based in the UK and partner of Weichai, is a developer of electrochemical technologies such as fuel cells for power generation and electrolysis for the creation of green hydrogen.
Weichai estimates that when its products reach 1GW of distributed power deployed, it has the potential to reduce carbon emissions by around two million per year.
