Australia’s hydrogen ambitions and the opportunities for Scottish companies are set to be discussed in a webinar next week by Scottish Development International.
In November 2019, the Australian Government announced its first National Hydrogen Strategy that aims to establish the country as a global hydrogen leader by 2030.
The strategy adopts a technology-neutral approach to hydrogen production for both domestic supply and exports, particularly to East Asia which is quickly becoming the world’s leading hydrogen consumer.
This an exciting development for Scotland’s hydrogen players, as the Australian strategy resonates strongly with Scottish R&D interests and capabilities, with a robust and open regulatory framework that welcomes and protects foreign participation.
