Speaking at H2 View’s Mobility Pillar Special Webinar, David Holderbach, CEO of HYVIA, reiterated the needs to adjust the conception of hydrogen cars not being safe.
“We need to educate and communicate,” said Holderbach. “When you drive diesel, there’s energy in the tank and when you have battery it’s the same situation. It’s exactly the same for hydrogen.”
Tom Chicken, CEO at Fuel Cell Systems, also commented, claiming the perception around the safety of hydrogen cars “doesn’t get raised half as much as it once did.”
He added, “Most people who are now getting a fuel cell vehicle, they don’t really realise they’re driving a fuel cell vehicle. It’s just a normal car and it’s quiet.
