Walmart Canada has introduced a Nikola hydrogen fuel cell Class 8 truck into its fleet for operation in Ontario.
With a range of around 800km the hydrogen-powered truck is planned to be used for longer-haul trips in the province, as the supermarket major looks to clean up its logistics operation.
Nikola anticipates the hydrogen-fuelled vehicle could avoid 97 tonnes of tailpipe carbon dioxide (CO2) emission annually.
