Canadian-based Vortex Energy has commenced drilling at the site of two identified salt structures that could be suitable for hydrogen storage.
Vortex’s Robinson River Salt Project, near Stephensville, Newfoundland & Labrador, in July (2023) was estimated to have potential to store up to 800,000 tonnes of hydrogen.
