Volvo Trucks North America has launched its “reimagined” VNL truck that will serve as the platform for future battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell and internal combustion engine (ICE) technologies.
The new Volvo VNL has been designed to meet the challenges and demands of the North American market, while new aerodynamics and engineering is hoped to deliver a fuel efficiency improvement of up to 10%.
Described by Peter Voorhoeve, President of Volvo Trucks North America, as a “quantum leap forward,” the VNL will look to introduce new drive systems that are hoped to “shape the future of the transportation industry.”
