Vireon to install 5MW electrolyser at Finnish hydrogen refuelling station

Vireon Hydrogen has been granted €3.8m ($3.99m) to build a 5MW electrolyser facility in Finland after being named the country’s first voluntary distributor of green hydrogen.

The electrolyser will form part of the Norwegian Hydrogen subsidiary’s Jyväskylä Hydrogen Hub, which plans to build a hydrogen refuelling station for heavy-duty transport in its first phase.

Expected to be operational by 2025, five hydrogen-powered buses will be the first vehicles to use the new station.
