VINSSEN has commenced construction on its hydrogen-powered boat, featuring an advanced 600kW propulsion system that combines fuel cells with battery technology.
The South Korean firm began building the hull for the 17.4m boat on October 8, after its design was approved by the Korea Marine Traffic Safety Authority (KOMSA).
The project is being developed in collaboration with JNTP, KOMERI and KITECH. JNTP will provide technical and regulatory support, KOMERI will conduct a hull stability assessment and a hydrogen fuel cell system performance evaluation, whilst KITECH will share hull welding technology and quality management expertise.
