Verne and LifeGuard to develop CcH2 refuelling hoses for 2027

Verne will collaborate with LifeGuard Technologies on the development of high-flow, flexible hoses for cryo-compressed hydrogen refuelling (CcH2).

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the two companies expect to establish a US-based supply of CcH2 safety hoses to enable the fuelling of heavy-duty vehicles. They have the goal of entering commercial production in 2027.

H2 View understands that CcH2 achieves an 87% improvement in density relative to 700 bar compressed hydrogen and a 33% improvement over liquid hydrogen. Although, the development of new infrastructure and components is required to support a transition to CcH2.
