Verne and ARTA have agreed to collaborate on developing high-density hydrogen refuelling solutions for heavy-duty trucks.
The two companies will develop and demonstrate cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) nozzles and receptacles for heavy-duty truck refuelling stations.
CcH2 offers superior densities to liquid hydrogen systems while avoiding boil-off losses, and at a storage pressure less than 400 bar, CcH2 storage systems can reach hydrogen densities of 73g per litre, a 35% improvement on liquid hydrogen storage systems.
