United States Steel Corporation has signed a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Equinor US Holdings that will see both study the potential of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrogen.
This will be explored in the tri-state region of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The group has stated that hydrogen-based steel processes and CCS are among the more promising and sustainable technologies currently being developed.
