The US Department of Energy (DOE) has launched its first-ever Hydrogen Business Case Prize Competition to help the Biden-Harris Administration achieve its net-zero carbon emissions goals by 2050 with clean hydrogen.
Launched on Tuesday (Oct 5), the competition challenges teams to develop user-friendly analysis tools that identify regional businesses cases where clean hydrogen can add value to a specific sector or technology.
As well as support the Biden-Harris Administration with its clean energy goals, the competition will also support DOE’s Hydrogen Shot which aims to slash the cost of green hydrogen by 80% to $1 this decade.
