US DOE earmarks $3.4m for small-scale hydrogen and fuel cell projects

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced up to $3.4m will be provided to support the R&D of clean hydrogen and fuel cell developments.

Awarded under the $52m Small Business Research and Development Grant, the DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) selected 17 projects to support with funding.

The projects will be part of the 2024 Phase 1 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards. H2 View understands that the SBIR programme has provided over $52m for more than 200 small businesses across the US.
