The University of Sheffield has received new equipment that will allow it to produce more green hydrogen than any other UK research centre.
The university has installed a new PEM electrolyser, supplied by IMI Remosa under the new brand IMI VIVO, which will be implemented at the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Innovation Centre (SAF-IC).
The SAF-IC is the UK’s first R&D facility that can develop, test, validate and help certify new fuels all in one location and, along with the new electrolyser, will give the UK R&D capabilities in SAFs and play a major role in reducing carbon emissions in aviation.
