Universal Hydrogen has successfully demonstrated its modular hydrogen storage capsules on its ATR-72 test aircraft.
Taking place at Toulouse Blagnac Airport in France, the trial showed the loading and unloading of the storage capsules into the aircraft to simulate a turnaround procedure.
The solution is aimed to facilitate the transport of hydrogen in the capsules using existing freight networks to avoid the need for costly new pipelines, storage facilities and fuel trucks.
