German energy supplier Uniper and green energy company Tree Energy Solutions (TES) have revealed a new cooperation with Niedersachsen Ports (NPorts), to plan a new import terminal for green gases, including hydrogen, at the port of Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
Under the agreement, H2 View understands Uniper will conduct technical studies that could enable the company to import approximately 2.6 million tonnes of green ammonia per year.
Signed on the sidelines of the opening ceremony for the new LNG terminal at the port, the anticipated new jetty is expected to require around €500m ($527m) of investment funds. The partners have said the financing is “still yet to be clarified.”
