Uniper secures hydrogen off-take from Nordic projects

Uniper has agreed to potentially off-take hydrogen from Norwegian Hydrogen and Provaris’ export projects in the Nordics.

Under a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the three companies aim to “strengthen the development of hydrogen supply from the Nordics to import hubs in north-western Europe.”

German energy company Uniper will be supplied with RFNBO-compliant (Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin) compressed gaseous hydrogen, delivered to a port defined by Uniper utilising Provaris’ GH2 carriers and GH2 storage barges.
