Uniper has revealed an increase in EBIT earnings of €5,484m ($5,849m) in the first nine months of 2023 on its route to Net Zero.
The increase in earnings is due to Uniper’s strong operating performances in the hydrogen market, and an improvement on its adjusted EBIT in the previous year (2022) which was -€5,086m (-$5,423m).
The company’s adjusted net income at the nine-month mark of 2023 was reported to be €3,741m ($3,989m), substantially higher than the prior-year figure of -€3,445m (-$3,673m), whilst its IFRS net income stood at €9,769m ($10,416m), a significant increase on the previous year’s net loss of -€40,307m ($42,980m).
