Lhyfe’s BOxHy project has been endorsed by the United Nations’ (UN) Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development 2021-2030.
The Baltic Sea Oxygenation and the Super Green Hydrogen Economy project aims to adopt existing technologies to oxygenate the sea, restoring aquatic vitality and also explore the potential for sector coupling with green hydrogen production.
Alongside Flexens and the Department of Ecology, Environment, and Plant Sciences (DEEP) at Stockholm University, Lhyfe aims to tackle anoxia in the Baltic Sea by injecting oxygen via offshore hydrogen production, using water electrolysis.
