A new Guinness World Record has been set by the UK’s Royal Air Force (RAF) and Zero Petroleum for the world’s first successful flight using only synthetic fuel which utilises hydrogen.
The synthetic fuel utilised within the world record attempt is Zero Petroleum’s innovative UL91 fuel that is created by extracting hydrogen from water and carbon from atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Taking off from Cotswold Airport, the Ikarus C42 flew into the skies for the first successful flight running on a synthetic fuel.
