Some of the UK’s leading hydrogen industry bosses believe the UK could miss out on investment opportunities in the next 10 years if the government does not raise its hydrogen production targets, a survey has stated.
The survey also revealed that more than three-quarters of respondents to Hydrogen Strategy Now’s ‘State of the Hydrogen Nation’ believe that the UK’s 5GW hydrogen production target is not ambitious enough.
Almost half also said that the lack of a clear hydrogen strategy has seen the UK miss out on valuable investments into UK hydrogen projects with 81% stating that the UK was failing to meet its hydrogen potential.
