UK-based GeoPura has raised £56m ($71m) of investment to scale up the production of its hydrogen-fuelled power generation units.
Over half of the funding has been committed by the UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB), which made a £30m ($38m) investment, with Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital, GM Ventures, SWEN Capital Partners and Siemens Energy Ventures all making follow-on investments.
Set to directly increase the manufacture and supply of GeoPura’s Hydrogen Power Units (HPUs) in Newcastle, UK, to replace traditional diesel-fuelled generators, as it plans to deploy a unit fleet of over 3,600.
