UK offshore trial produces hydrogen from desalinated seawater

Hydrogen has been produced from desalinated seawater offshore in the UK, during a trial in Milford Haven, South Wales.

Dolphyn Hydrogen announced on LinkedIn that it had successfully deployed its test rig and produced its first molecules of hydrogen from the trial at Pembroke Dock.

Moored at the Marine Energy Test Area (META) of the port, the test rig is said to include water treatment, storage, electrolysis, power generation, control systems, hydrogen metering and vent systems.
