UK MP Andy Carter is calling on the government to back the UK’s most advanced hydrogen and carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) project.
HyNet North West aims to reduce emissions from industry, homes, transport and the power generation sector across the North West and North Wales, supporting clean economic growth and a transition to a low carbon economy.
It’s being delivered by a consortium of partners, each of whom will lead a different part of the project.
The hydrogen network, a world first, will produce, store and distribute hydrogen to decarbonise industry, flexible power generation, transport and heat across the North West of England and North Wales.
