It has been revealed today (September 8), that the UK Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy has appointed the HyTech consortium to support the assessment of the feasibility, costs, and benefits of using 100% hydrogen for heating in the UK.
Led by independent energy expert DNV, the consortium will leverage on expertise from Progressive Energy, Frontier Economics, Enertek International, Flex Process, and Dave Lander Consulting.
H2 View understands the work will include a pioneering programme of pioneering trials, with the results of the projects set to be used to enable strategic decisions in 2026 on the role of hydrogen in heating.
