Safety, security, and sustainability solutions provider TÜV SÜD has awarded fischer Edelstahlrohren’s laser-welded stainless steel tubes with hydrogen-ready certification.
The certification provider has approved the tubes for high-pressure applications with hydrogen, and has said that, dependent on materials, the pipes can be used in temperature ranges between -253oC and 400oC, with pressures up to 900 bar.
According to TÜV SÜD, the certification scope covers longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes from steel types 1.4401, 1.4404, and 1.4425 with nominal widths between 5mm and 205mm.
