Transportation fuels and heating represent the biggest challenges to India fast-tracking its hydrogen economy, delegates attending the recent H2 View India Hydrogen Snap Summit heard.
That was the view of Stefano Innocenzi, Senior Vice President of New Energy Business at Siemens Energy, speaking at the recent webinar.
He said, “India is a large country and the challenge is how you replace transport fuels and heating. Some of the pipeline infrastructure will be challenging to construct. The challenge for India is finding the right solution to make hydrogen in the refineries and replacing more of the molecules.”
