Toulouse-Blagnac airport commits to hydrogen

Two new hydrogen stations and 1 MW of high-power electrolysis are to be integrated into the immediate surroundings of Toulouse-Blagnac airport’s runways and roadways.

French hydrogen production company McPhy today (4th March) said that it has been contracted to design, manufacturer and install the units that will help to decarbonise the airport’s operations.

Each of the solutions will satisfy mobility and logistics needs and will supply hydrogen to industrial sites interested in decarbonising operations.

The hydrogen stations will serve all types of vehicles, including buses, light commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. Each of the vehicles that use the station will be refuelled with hydrogen thanks to a dual pressure configuration offering two distribution pressures of 350 and 700 bar.
