Total has acquired a 20% stake in Hysetco, a French company that is dedicated to development of hydrogen mobility in cities and owns the largest fleet of hydrogen taxis in the world.
This is part of Hysetco’s Hype brand with the project aiming to demonstrate large scale viability of zero-emission hydrogen vehicles for urban mobility.
The French company currently owns around 700 taxis in Paris, with a majority of diesel vehicles that will gradually be transitioned to become exclusively comprised of hydrogen vehicles by 2024.
