Topsoe will support the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study of a low-carbon ammonia plant in Louisiana, the US.
Under a contract signed with CF Industries, Topsoe will license its SynCOR Ammonia™ to combine with carbon capture and storage (CCS) to enable the production of ammonia.
The SynCOR tech is expected to perform ammonia production and cost-efficient carbon capture, understood to be the preferred technology for mega-scale ammonia production due to its maturity and low capital and operating costs.
