Projects need to be scaled up and capital costs driven down to accelerate the use of e-fuels and synthetic fuels as alternative means of transport, a gasworld webinar has heard.
During the, e-fuels and Synthetic Fuels: Driving Decarbonisation webinar, Liz Myers, Vice-President of Business Development at Infinium, claimed investment must be increased to advance these solutions.
“There are promising locations where renewables can support these [e-fuel] facilities,” she said. “The key piece of e-fuels is the production of green hydrogen.” Stephen B. Harrison, Founder and Managing Director at sbh4 Consulting, added that there will be parts of the world where it’s better to produce e-fuels.
