Africa remains to be a hotspot region for the development of hydrogen. With the continents huge amounts of potential for green hydrogen production, through its renewable energy sources, the future could well be green for Africa.
Many around the world have additionally been working with African nations to support the growth of the renewable energy sector namely with Germany striking several deals in the Northern parts of Africa whilst Namibia and South Africa have seen significant developments in their hydrogen ecosystem.
One hydrogen company is aiming to put both Africa and the Ivory Coast on the map for hydrogen: iH2 – Ivoire Hydrogène. The company has seen several developments this previous year in expanding its hydrogen prowess and is set to build on its expertise in the coming year and beyond.
