TES has appointed a Senior Representative in Japan as it looks to expand its renewable synthetic methane (e-NG) from green hydrogen production business.
Kenji Ohta will take up the new position at a new TES office set to be established in Tokyo to build the business in Japan and the wider east Asia region and will provide in developing the company’s strategic plan and resource allocation.
As a large energy importing nation with ambitious hydrogen plans, TES says Japan sees e-NG as a “key solution” for decarbonising city gas networks, making commitments to transition 90% of its city gas to e-NG by 2050.
