Tree Energy Solutions (TES) and Tokyo Gas have signed an agreement to explore and develop hydrogen-based e-NG supply chains globally to accelerate its roll out.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to raise awareness of e-NG globally, encouraging the institutional design of an international CO2 emissions counting system for e-NG and other alternative fuels to contribute to carbon neutrality.
In Japan, the government aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, with the goal of decarbonising gas-based energy to meet heat demands – currently accounting for 60% of total demand – and e-NG is expected to be a promising solution towards this.
