TECO 2030 has announced today (December 20) it’s signed a contract with thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering GmbH to supply hydrogen fuel cell stacks.
The Norwegian company’s Innovation Centre in Narvik, Norway, will have an annual capacity of 120MW production in 2024 and increase to 400MW in 2025, being the ‘first’ Gigafactory in Europe for Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells.
Test-production of the fuel cell stacks will take place at thyssenkrupp headquarters in Bremen, Germany, with the equipment being validated and completed before shipment to Narvik.
