Norway’s TECO 2030 has today (October 13) launched what it says is the world’s most power dense marine and heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell module.
Having been in development for more than 30 months, the FCM400 already has an Approval in Principle (AiP) from DNV and is currently undergoing the type approval process for maritime and heavy-duty applications.
Offering 400kW of power, developed in collaboration with Austrian-based AVL, TECO 2030 has said the system, “has the lowest footprint on the market when calculating power output per unit volume,” adding, “there is no other supplier of similar energy density for marine and heavy-duty applications.”
