Technip Energies and Casale have partnered to jointly license oxidative reforming-based technologies, autothermal reforming (ATR) and partial oxidation (POx) technologies for the blue hydrogen market.
The ATR process produces syngas containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. When combined with carbon capture technology, low-carbon hydrogen can be produced.
According to the companies, the ATR-based solutions could achieve up to a 99% carbon capture rate at hydrogen production facilities.
